This is one of the best haunted theme parks around - the centerpiece of which is the Haunted Verdun Manor which used to be Haunted Cannon Manor out at the State Fair of Texas back in the 70's. It was actually the first amusement haunted house that I ever entered as a child and I am honored to be friends with the excellent owners and staff of Thrillvania.

definitely worth the drive.
Interestingly enough, the Manor may actually be haunted. The staff has reported feelings of uneasiness in certain areas, and since these are hardened amusement park veterans who maintain a ghoulish attraction for a living, my guess is that they are not easily frightened. SPI conducted a recon back in April of 2005 and while we found nothing conclusive, the possibility is that you may be getting more bang for your buck than you thought. |
